Suge Knight’s Ex-Security Boss Reggie Wright Jr Testifies In Keefe D’s 2Pac Trial — Direct-Exam

Reginald “Reggie” Wright Jr., is a former Compton police officer and head of Rightway Protective Services. Through his company he was security chief for Marion “Suge” Knight and Death Row Records.

Wright has known Knight since elementary school. He testified in Duane “Keefe D” Davis’ murder trial on Tuesday (August 18, day 2) for Tupac Shakur’s 1996 fatal shooting in Las Vegas.

03:41 “And who ran Death Row Records at that time?”
“A gentleman that I actually grew up with at elementary school, junior high and high school, by the name of Marian “Suge” Knight.”

04:52 Mob Piru v. South Side Crips questions

08:20 “Security at the office, at the recording studios, driving mr. Knight around, two with Mr. Shakur, two with Snoop Dogg … and other artists when they went to promotional events like that. So I could pretty much have about 10 officers working a day.”

09:29 “We heard from James McDonald just before you hit the stand. Is it fair to say that they were Mob Piru gang members also around Death Row Records?”
“That’s correct.”

11:57 “And then is it fair to say that the your perception of a security for Death Row Records was that somebody associated with Bad Boy Entertainment may have had something to do with the murder of one of Suge’s friends in Atlanta?”
“That was always the story that was told to us, yes, sir.”

12:17 “Is it fair to say by 1995, end of the end of 1995, that there was tension between significant tension between Bad Boy and Death Row?”
“Yes, sir.”

12:51 “Well, we was always on some type of tension when it came to death. I mean, Bad Boys or going to the East Coast, which Suge and I continuously went to the East Coast because he had a lot of business. The distributor, the main distributor, was located out there. The big trade, like the magazines and stuff, was out there…”

13:34 asks about Tupac signing
“I believe he came home October the 12th of 1995.”

13:58 “Now, as security for death row, were you aware that Mr. Shakur was actually out on a bond, an appeals bond from prison from New York?”
“Yes, sir.”
“And I believe the allegation has something to do with sexual misconduct. Is that right?”
“I mean, something like that. I don’t. I wouldn’t call it that, but yes.”

16:10 “Now you mentioned a particular song came out that changed how you handle Tupac Shakur’s security. What song are you talking about?”
“It was a song called “Hit ‘Em Up.”
“And is it fair to say that in that song, Tupac is aggressively expressing his dislike for the members of Bad Boy Entertainment as well as other artists?”

18:57 “We all agreed that he probably needed another guy with me.”

23:03 “662 on the keyboard of your phone, it will spell out the word M O B, which means members of the Bloods.

23:34 “the main thing that came out of that meeting was he advised all of my security guards, even though that they were authorized to carry guns, being off-duty police officers and stuff, that we shouldn’t have guns on our our possession inside the inside of the club on that night”

26:23 “Now, who was in charge of the security for Club 662 that night?”
“Well, ultimately, I am, but I had a on-site supervisor by the name of Al Giddens. He was actually who I consider in charge of the club, but ultimately, as the owner, I was.”

27:04 “James was a headache for my security. They hated him, but he and I-we’ve been knowing each other over 52 years, you know. So I mean, that was like my brother. So he, James, used to do it as a hustle. What James would do is go outside, get guys that looked like they had a bunch of money, and bring them to the front of the line, and that drove my security players crazy.”

30:12 “And so Mr. Shakur was scheduled to perform that night at Club 662. Is that right?”
“Yes, sir.”
“And so you’re telling us that it was your understanding that Mr. Shakur performing at Club 662 at this benefit would help him accumulate hours for community service?”
“Yes, sir.”

35:43 “Two gentlemen, Buntry, true name was Alton McDonald, and a gentleman by the name of Neckbone. Well, his true name was Roger Williams, his moniker’s Neckbone. They came inside the club and came straight to me. It was like Reggie, Reggie, Suge and Pac just got shot down the street. I thought they were messing with me…”

39:45 “Did you see the car that Buntry and Neckbone arrived to Club 662 in?”
“He had a Toyota Supra that was black, and he had one bullet hole to the the driver’s side fender.”

41:17 called father “I called him a couple of times throughout that night, told him when it just happened to Suge and Mr. Shakur. You know, it’s kind of stressful for me. Called him a few times that night.”

49:34 “That gentleman right there in the white is Buntry, Alton McDonald.”

56:56 “Do you recognize the person in … exhibit seven?”
“Yes, I recognize him. That’s Mr. Davis.”

  1. I tell you this . .

    Reggie is shady as hell!

He talks a lot . . Tells all kinds of off topic BS stories to give the listener(s) the idea he knows what he's talking about.
But he never tells you anything.

Last week Robert Ladd told that
there are FBI files, this is an open case, who points the mastermind behind the Tupac murder as someone at Deathrow Records. And not only that . . It is done or carried out together with a SSCC!!

This was Robert Ladd. Last week.

I will bet you that the person within Deathrow Records was Reggie wright!

  2. The violence that is prevalent among African Americans will now be exposed for all to see: it's A homicidal culture that has internalised its own self-hatred. All of the time and energy that Black people have spent fighting white supremacy and racism has been a misdirected effort. The greater danger has been the internal enemy. Gang-banging culture and the generation it has created may ultimately be viewed by historians as one of the most detrimental to the overall development of Black America, next to the transatlantic and Arab slave trades.

  3. hit em up was a track just like every other…… for fucks sake this is fucking music so how could a song offend tupac sang in interests of furthering and nourishing and pursuing his career as an entertainer the music is and was purely for entertainment…and believe was widely globally well received and acknowledged as another of pacs legendary hits and purely classical.. only in the interest of quality music with quality lyrics for a quality audience it shocks me that actually a jealous by his competitors on basis of music is admitted as basis for motive for his death this is really appaling pac was inspired by his talent and was exploiting his talent to the best of his ability like we all should

  4. Damn… I can’t believe this. You need to get a genuine Microsoft Windows license key ASAP, Lawyer. You could get sued for that! 😂 Is it even legally compliant to use that in court? 😂😂😂
